Reviewed on 5.31.2009 (Review #227)

FrankieThaLuckyDog's back here. 'Bout ta review a mixtape fa my boy Big Shane. Although I have a weird anticipation level fa this mixtape, I'm gonna give Big Shane a review 'cause I been cool wit him, and wanna give him some feedback on some shit he be on. Here's my review fa DJ Cosinus "International Grindtime V.2 (Hosted by Big Shane & Archie Eversole)"! Start Time: 5:29 PM | End Time: 8:04 PM

© 2009 CD Review (Review #227) reviewed on 5.31.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. DJ Cosinus, Big Shane & Archie Eversole "Intro"
Tha intro! Lookin' forward to hearin' Big Shane! >>> Tha 1st 27 seconds was Big Shane; thumbs up. Good lil' part from Big Shane. Archie sounded cool to hear after 7 years, lol! Anyway, be prepared for whateva I'm gonna say on this 'cause it gon be 100% me! My Rating: N/A

02. Big Shane "I Hold My Own"
Startin' it off wit a Big Shane joint! I hope his "Dope Boy Fresh" song iz on here (waitin' ta hear that one finally)! Let's see what he can squeeze in within 1 and 3/4's minutes! >>> Not bad on tha beat, yet I like all tha rappin'; nice rhymes. There was SO much shit he said on this shit that I liked. Just kept it consistent wit all tha rhymes, punchlines, and tha flow was nice! My Rating: 3.9

03. Ya Boy Feat. Rocko & Yo Gotti "Money Ain't A.... (Remix)"
Don't know of Ya Boy, although I saw him somewhere... Looks like this'll be a good one fa me. >>> Feelin' tha beat start here. Oh, I rememba tha "money ain't no muthafuckin' option" hook. So, this iz tha remix of tha Rocko joint from tha "Swag Season" mixtape. I thought it was cool to make a remix! Of course, Rocko holds it down, and Yo Gotti (plus his voice) iz just GREAT on tha hook; nice "bricks...pounds in tha closet" part in tha hook! This shit go hard still! Yo Gotti still doin' good wit dat 2nd verse; it's still tight from tha "Swag Season" mixtape! Nice verse from him; great collab. So, Ya Boy iz on tha 3rd verse here; lemme hear him... I like his flow. Should this be ID'd as Rocko Feat. Yo Gotti & Ya Boy instead of Ya Boy Feat. Rocko & Yo Gotti? 'Cause this was originally Rocko's song? I'll see later (if I notice any otha shit). For now, I'll leave it. My Rating: 4.3

04. J Money "Secret Agent"
Uh oh, an artist I don't like... It's said how it's not J-Money (wit a dash [from tha "Peanut Butter & Jelly" song]), but J Money instead (without a dash; 2 different rappers). But wait a minute, I heard this song (by DJ Scream's request, I reviewed him and J Money's terrible "Trapper Of Da Year" mixtape), and good thing you picked this one 'cause this was tha one I rated #1 on that CD! It was 1 of 2 songs of 18 that I luved on there, so good pick! Here's what I had to say: Okay, definitely likin' tha beat intro! PLEASE no more "first name, last name" shit! Okay good, an actual trap anthem. I like tha "work," "secret agent" and tha "007" parts in tha hook! Pretty nice 1st verse. Really likin' this beat and that hook! Nice 2nd verse too… I'm impressed! <- To add: I hear Gucci's voice at tha end. I'm expectin' a Gucci song next. My Current Rating: 4.3

05. Gucci Mane Feat. Busta Rhymes "Stoopid (Remix)"
A Music Choice Rap song... I don't really pay attention to "non-Louisiana artists" anymore, so this'll be a 1st listen fa me. >>> Oh, it says "remix;" then that's ID Error #1 'cause it ain't labeled as a "remix." Oh, okay, I remember hearin' tha title in tha hook now. I have to consider tha hook "jackin'" Louisiana's style. Unfortunately, that's a thumbs down, although Busta can be soundin' funny on tha 1st verse. I like his ending. Ugh, that hook... Now, Gucci's on tha 2nd verse here. Atlanta's anotha "jackin'" town like Dallas wit that "stealin' Louisiana shit." Short verse, and nothin' from me to say. Good beat on here, but not a song fa me. My Rating: 2.7

06. Archie Eversole "What Money Sounds Like"
That title looks (or should I say "sounds," lol) weird... This iz gonna be his comeback song fa me (since this iz tha 1st song I'm hearin' from him since "We Ready")... >>> Sounds like a good start. Interesting hook. Not bad on tha 1st verse too; sounds like a good, non-Louisiana song. Tha 2nd verse iz soundin' better. Tha "yeahhhhh"'s at random (mainly in tha hook) wit tha beat sound catchy fa this song. Sounds like a good comeback song, although I don't know about its exposure. Prolly good exposure in tha trap world. My Rating: 4.1

07. GS Boyz "Booty Dew"
Oh God... What's wit tha gay artist this time? Aren't they a "one hit wonder"? Do I really have to put up wit a WHOPPING 3:50 on tha length (yea, Soulja Boy Tell 'Em type artists make tha songs look longer)? >>> Sounds like tha beat iz stolen from "Get It Bitch"... Wow, gay hook!!! I almost wanna skip this, but I won't 'cause I wanna see how much I'm gonna decrease my rating!! UH OH: At 1:00, tha dude on tha 1st verse said, "I can jigg too;" NO, NO, NO!!! THAT'S A NO NO!!! *Automatically no higher than a 1.9 rating!!* Gay first verse like guys suckin' each others' dicks! Oh my, at 1:53, no less as what I said before, they even said, "get it bitch!," like that other song! NO, THA "JIGG" PART AGAIN AT 2:18!! C'mon now... There's even snappin' in tha beat too, smh! That was so 2005/2006!! Again, "jiggin'" came in tha 3rd verse too; what do ya gotta have "jigg" in every verse fa? WTF?!? Then again, this'll NEVA be a song I'll play/listen to, etc. My Rating: 1.0

08. Big Shane "Turn My Swag On (Flow)"
Yea, a better person, and a better beat! Lemme judge Big Shane's flow now! >>> I hear Auto-Tune; double gayness back 2 back?! Wow, not for me!! C'mon, can tha last 1:01 come any slower?? Good "puttin' tracks ta bed" part. Make sure you don't use tha voice shit again! My Rating: 1.5

09. Young Problemz Feat. Gucci Mane & Mike Jones "Boi (I Got So Many)"
Wit Mike Jones on it, hopefully that doesn't influence them all to have this sound like they "got so many boiz," LOL!! >>> Huh? Anotha gay fuckin' type of song? Once again, this beat iz based off of "A Milli"; that song was SO last year!! No need for an "A Milli" vs. "A Milli" track!! I grew up a lil' since this "A Milli". Oh God, Mike Jones iz on tha 2nd verse... (yea, I couldn't say anything about tha 1st verse due to lots of attraction). Still tha "big belly," Jones? No comment on his voice, but it wasn't annoying at least. A 3rd verse here, and it's typical mainstream bullshit fa me. Gucci came in tha 2nd 1/2 of tha 3rd verse, and ain't soundin' bad at least. Annoying song overall; don't need anymore of those "A Milli" beats. "Diva" was good enough fa a "A Milli" vs. "A Milli" type of beat! My Rating: 1.7

10. Gucci Mane Feat. Plies "Wasted"
Ooh, I like titles that have "wasted" in 'em (thanx to Cam Farrar's 2004 "Wasted (The Overdrive)", a GREAT undaground Dance track. Also, thanx to a "Wasted" title from Cinephile (2002), I like Trip-Hop music). I have a feelin' this joint won't be that bad... >>> I don't know what to say so far... Nothin' really to say about tha 1st verse. LOL @ how Plies came in on tha 2nd verse; always luv his flow at times! What's wit tha clean verse? I liked his verse. Let's see... anotha Gucci verse... Not bad. My Rating: 3.5

11. Big Shane "Cocaine Music"
I like that title... Whoa, 4:20 on tha length! Ooh, I hope he got his act together wit tha voice shit, and iz doin' his thang on this! Iz this a flow over tha Rick Ross song of tha same name wit tha "music" in it? >>> Neva mind, new song; I liked his intro before tha song came on. I don't really like tha beat, but I'm gonna pay attention to tha rhymes and lyrics here. Likin' tha rhymes here, and hearin' tha stories about what he's been doin' through life. I don't really feel that hook much 'cause it's just a female sample, although later on, it got better fa me. Tha 2nd verse iz soundin' interesting from him here. He was "at 15 years old, a bad azz;" nothin' much ta say about that, but I don't (for some reason) understand why many people in tha world go through troubles in their teenage times. Fa me, it was only ta make friends; that was a trouble fa me, and looks like it'll be a lifetime one. I really don't know how people easily, and typically, make friends... It's so hard I feel like! Anyway, it sounds like tha 3rd verse iz on point too. Not much ta say, but thanx fa anotha joint. My Rating: 3.8

12. Derty Den Feat. Gorilla Zoe "Fly Shit"
A new artist (fa me) wit tha gorilla... >>> Sounds like a sample in tha hook; really likin' tha beat here. Zoe's up 1st, creatin' rhymes that create "Asthma attacks," lol. Not bad on his verse; nothin' else ta say... Tha Derty Den person on tha 2nd verse ain't that bad; tolerable... Better verse from him than Zoe. My Rating: 3.6

13. Juney Boomdata "You Get It"
Neva heard of him... >>> Sounds like a Louisiana song? That's what its beat reminds me of... LOL @ tha "son of a bitch" part; who says that in a rap? It just seemed random 'cause it's like everyday talk. This dude sounds cool; likin' tha 1st verse here. Good 2nd verse too on this. Feelin' this shit as it's a better song than a bunch of tha shit on here. My Rating: 4.0

14. Big Shane Feat. Lil' Cali & Lil' Boosie "Dope Boy Fresh"
Tha song iz here, and I HOPE it sounds REAL good!! I gotta go take a shit real quick so afta that, I'll see all tha buzz about this song!! >>> Good start, "Wipe Me Down"ish wit tha hook a lil'. Big Shane on tha 1st verse, and soundin' good wit tha rappin' style! Great 1st verse from dat boy Big Shane! I would've neva been able to picture what this song would've sounded like; glad I'm hearin' it! I wonder what tha otherz have to offer! Cali's on tha 2nd verse here (Big Shane, how'd you actually hook up wit Cali & Boosie?)... Of course, nothin' but a GREAT flow wit tha rhymes and lyrics; CRAZY!! I like how tha title was said right after Cali's verse! Huh? That's not Boosie on tha 3rd verse; WTF? At least it's Shane, but I don't get it wit tha Boosie on tha ID 'cause it didn't sound like him on tha hook. I like tha "wheezing" part; you know I have Asthma (which that part reminded me of one of tha previous songs on here). Good song, and I felt tha 3rd verse too. Now, I can hear how it's Boosie on tha hook. Still, I thought I was gettin' a Boosie verse... My Rating: 4.3

½time: Looks like I have mixed feelings... Some songs were complete trash, some were okay, very few were real good fa me to luv (best one currently iz that "Dope Boy Fresh"). I hope there's better... I mean, fa a good mixtape, there should be some 4.6+ ratings! Only 4.3 iz tha highest so far (yet, 3 songs have that rating on here). I don't know what tha rest gon lead off to... Average CD rating currently iz 3.3.

15. Archie Eversole "How You Like Me Now"
He's back again on here; let's see watz good! >>> So, this iz tha "new single" unlike tha otha song? I don't know about tha start... Only a decent start; nice bass. Not much to say about tha 1st verse... Tha 2nd verse wit tha "skippin' school" part ain't really smart, but it seems like he really 'bout gettin' money... Uh oh, went right into a T-Pain song sample (from that gay "Buy U A Drank" song from that GAY 2007 year)... My Rating: 3.6

16. Rob B Gutta "Let's Talk Money"
Consistent topic, yet a scary sample (heard it in tha last song at tha end). Neva heard of this dude, so we'll see what's up... >>> This dude sounds like he's got like $100,000+? Sounds too mainstream wit all tha "Weezy money, 50 Cent money" type shit. I liked some of tha otha songs on here better. This sounds like it wants to be too much in tha mainstream. That sample has to go... My Rating: 3.0

17. Jae E "Lay By My Banana"
Looks scary, and it's 4:00 long! >>> Neva mind, forgot that tha "banana" had to do wit tha gat. I like that it was a "Shoulder Lean" sample (BETTA sample from a BETTA year!). Tha 1st verse sounds like tha dude on here sounds like he in tha hood all tha time, tryna do his thang all day, err-day. Nice voice, and ooh, "fresh from New Orleans;" Louisiana shit! Tight shit here, and nice beat too! Good 2nd verse so far wit tha "fall back like you ain't got a spine" part; this dude's got a good Rap voice. I like tha 3rd verse start (did he say, "niggaitous?"). Good shit. My Rating: 3.9

18. Jibbs Feat. Lil' Boosie & Kool Kid Kat "J-Walk"
That looks like an error 'cause ain't it Boosie? But, I don't know if I'm gonna anticipate this "Chain Hang Low"ness... >>> Ooh, Jibbs mentioned "Bowser" in his 1st verse; props. I saw Bowser today on Long Island, LOL! Sounded like his style went harder... Yea, I hear Boosie in tha background (how can you spell his name wrong when he so big?? ID Error #2: It's Lil' Boosie, not Lil' Bossie!) I thought tha hook was nice, and tha 2nd verse iz here from Boosie, soundin' nice. I think that hook iz catchy wit tha repeatin' of tha hook. This iz a thumbs up from me. Huh? A verse wit only like 16 seconds left? A lot goin' on here at tha end, but this was a thumbs up. My Rating: 4.2

19. Big Shane "F U Pay Me"
Yea, anotha Big Shane joint! Tha title can't go wrong, but tha length can (only 1:49?)... Should be NICE within tha short amount of time! >>> LOL @ tha sample goin' wit tha beat. Tha length must go wit Shane's typical 1 verse shit. Kinda short, but you still did a nice job. My Rating: 3.5

20. Supastaar Feat. Yung Joc "Head & Shoulders"
If that's tha "She's Fine (Halle Berry)" person on tha ID, then it looks like their name iz spelled wrong ('cause I think it's one word: Supastaar). I'll check after this, but I don't think I'll be able to tolerate this... >>> Gay start, and a somewhat bad hook fa me. I can't say tha hook iz funny 'cause really, there's like nothin' funny in Hip-Hop anymore. Tha jokes are too bad. Yup, this iz tha "She's Fine" dude ('cause he said "screamin' 'Halle Berry'..."), and said more of that at 1:07. Can't really say anything about tha 1st verse. Oh yea, ID Error #3: It's Supastaar, not Super Staar. Yung Joc's verse was bad; somewhat gay fa me. Sounds like a huge build-up in tha next song; will it be good? My Rating: 2.1

21. S. Fresh Feat. Lil' Boosie "Ask Dem Hoes (Remix)"
Yup, good, yet you don't have tha Boosie error this time! It's more like Music Choice has tha error 'cause Music Choice Hip-Hop And R&B plays this. They don't have it listed as a "remix", so it looks right on here. Neva got to get this song into rotation wit me, but it's a good Louisiana song! Now, fa tha review! >>> That intro beat sounded real good, and tha beat iz still soundin' good too! I like tha "well known like tha dopeman phone numba" (which reminds me of Alfamega & Gucci Mane's 2004 "Dopeman Phone #" joint that was REAL HOT) part in tha hook. S. Fresh did his thang on tha 1st verse; liked it. Tha hook iz catchy, and not tha boring, typical "hoes" type. Ooh, Boosie's so attractive to tha hood and err-body that there's like "funerals outside" (as he said)! Great Boosie verse (once again)! Now, tha 3rd verse from S. Fresh! I like tha "Ocean Drive" part ('cause it's a Dance/House artist, as well as a part of one of tha Dance/House titles as well out now). Great short 3rd verse, and catchy song! I should consider this real soon! Good check-in from Big Shane at tha end too! My Current Rating: 4.4

22. Big Shane Feat. Settaman "Maybach Music"
Now, he has that Rick Ross title, lol. I wonder what to expect this time... >>> Shit, gay-ass T-Pain on tha hook!! His hooks ain't SERIOUS!! I think this tha Rick Ross beat too, so that's a thumbs down. Tha 1st verse from Big Shane was not bad this time 'round. Good thing you didn't put T-Pain in tha ID, lol! I can't really say anything special about that Settaman dude on tha 2nd verse... Tha beat and hook killed it for me though. My Rating: 2.4

23. Archie Eversole Feat. Ray Lavender "Keep Winning"
Hope Ray makes this a good song... Tha title iz good, so Archie betta do good too. >>> Decent beat, yet a pretty good hook that I can take from Ray. Tha 1st verse was not bad. Tha 2nd verse did a nice job fa a song like this too... Ray's bridge kinda wasn't fa me (wit tha way he sung it wit tha lyrics he sung about). My Rating: 3.4

24. Fat Pimp "Fresh (80's Baby)"
Only know this dude from "I'm Getting Money" (song from Greg Street and a few others). Looks like it could be a good song, so lemme find out! >>> Tha hook sounds like I can luv it (wow, I said, "luv," on this mixtape!)! I don't like tha Jay-Z flow part at :52. Tha song continued to be tight; luv tha "fresh" lyrics! My Rating: 4.3

25. Big Shane "Grindin'"
Anotha small length song from him (1:36). It looks like a great title, so I hope for a great song this time! >>> Wow, couldn't really judge tha beat start when tha last song was ending, but when he raps on this, his flow makes it sound interesting. Ooh, like tha "dollar sign in my brains" part and tha part wit you "havin' dreads" too. Tha rappin' iz DEFINITELY good on this shit, ya dig! Great shit, Shane! My Rating: 4.1

26. Busta Rhymes Feat. T-Pain, OJ Da Juiceman & Gucci Mane "Hustlers Anthem (Remix)"
Well, this original version came out not too long ago, and I didn't even get to hear it. I'm sure tha trap rappers will do good wit this one, but I think T-Pain might hurt it fa me... >>> Wow, what a cheesy T-Pain hook!! I luv when people say "dawg," but T-Pain didn't need to say it, fa real! OJ on tha 1st verse here... Everybody gives him a thumbs down, but I can tolerate him. Sounds like whateva he's sayin' iz so much random shit non-stop, lol. Good, tha 2nd verse was shortened! Gucci here on tha 2nd verse! Sounds good for a flow. Although slightly less random than OJ's verse, he still spittin' shit like so much shit comin' from left field! Still, T-Pain got me on this one. My Rating: 3.1

27. Hopsin "Pans In The Kitchen"
Great title, but triple 2 on tha length (2:22). Neva heard of him, so let's see how good we got it here! >>> Sounds like non-stop rappin' wit a buildin'-up beat. Catchy hook, although I don't know how special this iz for me... Tha 2nd verse started good wit tha "used ta push weight on tha block" part. "Bacon and farts?" LOL @ tha "smellin'," LOL! Not bad fa a song, although fa a drug title, I expected better. My Rating: 3.5

28. DJ Cosinus, Big Shane & Archie Eversole "Outro"
I thought that last song was a bad way ta end it fa tha songs... Now, let's hear what we got fa tha outro... >>> Yea, I "put my ear to tha 'International Grindtime'," right now. I like tha (I think) DJ Cosinus in tha beginning. Like his ending to his part, and Big Shane had a nice lil' check-in on this outro too. My Rating: N/A

Overall: Not bad, yet somewhat decent. Borderline of below average, but some songs I was really feelin'. I didn't get those trashy songs, yet tha T-Pain type shit should've been excluded. A bunch of tha songs from like Gucci and them could've been better. I'm glad there were a buku amount of Big Shane shit on here (which was what I was wantin'). Well, Big Shane, I hope you at least appreciate this review 'cause one thing I really appreciate iz you willin' to work wit me on shit. I like how you came up to me (after seein' my R.I.P. Nu$$ie video) and was like, "We gotta do business. Let's do some work, dawg." I appreciated that, and I'm glad I got your cell numba. Average CD Rating: 3.4

^ I can't believe my #1 song on here; wouldn't've pictured that. If that was on a Baton Rouge mixtape, I would prolly have 10 songs higher than that... Even J Money bein' #4 on this iz odd too.

Review #226: D Cinn "Tha Promotion 3: Prince Of Da Haven"

© 2009 CD Review (Review #226) reviewed on 5.31.2009 by FrankieThaLuckyDog.

01. "Prince Of Da Haven"
I'm lookin' forward to dark themes and dark beats (just like wit you and That Memphis Kid be doin')! >>> Nice intro wit tha typical movie opening up theme. You sound pretty good on this shit wit repeatin' tha title. Soundin' like some good rappin' on tha 1st verse. When you said "sucka," it reminded me of T.I.. LOL @ at 1:48 wit "dumb fuck." Nice 2nd verse too, although tha end got REAL good wit tha "my life in 3-dimension" and tha "cards dealt" parts!! My Rating: 4.1

02. "That's Da Boy"
I thought it was gonna say "my boy," but now, I wanna hear about "da boy" then. >>> Tha beat continues to be hot like tha previous beat. I like hearin' tha "that's da boy there" part before tha 1st verse. Tha 1st verse sounds nice; nice flow. Yea, I'm feelin' tha hook, fa sho; luv tha title! I like tha 2nd verse too wit tha "drippin' sloppy...carbon copies" lines! Good shit here! My Rating: 4.3

03. "Win"
LOL @ just that word in tha title, yet I know you gon "win" this song wit a rating from me as well! >>> Sounds like an anticipating beat intro! I like tha screamin' before tha hook! Now, that hook iz NICE! Feelin' tha attitude in tha flow/rappin', and tha lyrics go nice wit it too; great combo! Ooh, you're only "20 years old?" That's how old I am 'til 21 more dayz! Great 1st verse and consistency on this shit. I like tha "this iz one DJ you DON'T wanna fuck wit!" tag! Tha 2nd verse worked good too, especially wit tha title; you "winnin'!" Nice ending too wit all those "we play to win, my nigga!" My Rating: 4.1

04. "Act Like Ya Know"
A shorter joint (2:35 on tha length), but looks like more of an attitude attributed track here as well! >>> Good hook on this too; same attitude, so that's watz good. Good 1st verse, continuin' your rappin' wishes. Good 2nd verse too. Not much to say 'cause you always holdin' it down on these tracks. My Rating: 4.0

05. "This And That"
Anotha short one (2:30 on tha length), and anotha good title! >>> Not a good intro this time. Tha hook sounds good, but that beat's R&Bish? It barely iz changin' up, so thumbs down. Was not really my style, but even worse: at 1:29 (only 1:01 left), it's skipping. Well, this iz sadly down tha tubes now. My Rating: 2.3

06. "Gettin' 2 Da Money"
Checked to see if this skipped too, but no, just tha 1st second. Looks like a good title again, so hopefully, tha beat iz on point this time. >>> That title reminds me of an OJ Da Juiceman type of title (I guess 'cause of his "I'm Gettin' Money"). Okay, this iz definitely better; good hook, good beat! I like your "bees gettin' to tha honey" part a lil' after tha 1:10 mark. Good 1st verse, and tha 2nd verse iz not bad fa a start. Sounds like it's still keepin' that good rappin' attitude. Nice ending (which was like tha intro). My Rating: 3.9

07. "Like Me"
I don't know what exactly to expect wit a typical title like that... >>> Ooh, anticipating beat intro again! Good job on tha 1st verse, and it sounds like T.I. on tha hook, which tha hook iz good too. I like tha part right at tha 2:00 mark wit tha "pockets anti-break." Ooh, 1st song wit a 3rd verse here! Tha "my job iz ta piss on niggaz" part went hard. Good job on tha 1st 3rd verse on this mixtape! My Rating: 4.0

½time: Although there was one song that was not for me, this mixtape iz goin' hard, and ain't stoppin'! Great job right here, D Cinn. Keep doin' yo thang, and I'm lookin' forward to hearin' tha rest! Tha average CD rating iz currently 3.8.

08. "Hatin' On Me"
Now why iz that? Why do people hate on every single person constantly? In my case, nobody hates on me; they REALLY underrate me and ignore me! I look at it that way in my cases. But, let's see your case. >>> Still keepin' those real nice beats goin'! I like tha "prepared to show up at your wake" part; preparation shit right here fa tha haterz! I don't know about tha singin' vocals during tha hook, but it does sound nice. I like hearin' tha same word twice (expressed differently), like tha "D Cinn ain't tha same nigga [dude]? Nigga [Dude], what chu mean?" Good shit again. My Rating: 3.8

09. "Doin' Somethin' To Me"
Anotha title about somethin' happenin' to you. I wanna see if it's equal to tha last song (based on how I feel). >>> Actually, on a different topic, based off tha gurl "doin' somethin' to you." Not bad on tha 1st verse; good lyrics to tha gurl. Tha rest was okay to me. Thanx fa havin' tha beat continue to be nice. My Rating: 3.6

10. "Givin' Up"
Wonder what I'mma hear in only 2:22, yet I KNOW you won't be "givin' up;" otherz will! >>> Oh no, it's about you? This ain't really fa me, and although I feel like "givin' up" when people take advantage of what I do, fa some reason, I continue; people anticipate me to continue. Good whole verse about you and what's been goin' on wit you, but it ain't much of my cup of tea. I'll still give you a lyrical rating fa your content on this one though. Lyrical Rating: 4.5 | My Rating: 2.8

11. "If Ya Real" Feat. Lil' Shawn
Ooh, a lot longer song this time (over double tha length of tha last song, lol). This one iz 4:52, and I'm not gonna say much except fa pressin' play... >>> Oh, I didn't realize I wrote nothin' yet... Sounds like anotha good song. I like tha hook, tha beat iz definitely on point, and tha 1st verse was pretty good. Got tha 1st featured person (on this CD) on tha 2nd version here: "Shizzle" (as he said, lol) a.k.a. Lil' Shawn. He doin' his thang; feelin' his verse right here; good voice too. Feelin' tha 3rd verse; tha ending of it was great too, D Cinn. My Rating: 4.1

12. "'Bout Da Bizness"
Lemme hear what ya got on this one. >>> LOL @ tha intro wit tha "1-800-FUCK-YOU" numba; I wonder what happened if someone called it, lol? Sounds like a catchy hook. Good soundin' on your rappin' on tha 1st verse; nice rhymes! Feelin' tha 2nd verse too; nice job on this shit. My Rating: 3.9

13. "Jealousy" Feat. D-Nyc & TLT
I thought it was gonna be like a minute longer than 3:59 ('cause of tha 2 featured people). But, lemme see what y'all got goin' on wit this one! >>> Can't judge tha intro yet... Not bad on tha 1st verse; can't really say much. Tha 2nd verse sounds nice. I like tha "sellin' weed" part (1st time I heard that on this mixtape)! Dude iz on point here. Hearin' tha 3rd verse right nah, and it's like a more Southern version of Lil' Flip here. Good job on tha 3rd verse there. This ain't that bad fa a song fa me. Good job fa havin' those featured rappers on here 'cause it helped fa me. My Rating: 3.7

14. "Veteran"
Same length as tha last song, lol. I wonder how good this one iz (yet, you're on your own wit this one)... >>> Not bad on tha beat here; reminds me of Figit's "Hustle" a lil' (from 2005). Not bad on tha 1st verse. Tha hook iz pretty nice too. Keepin' tha rappin' good on tha 2nd verse wit your attitude. Nice on tha 3rd verse too. Good job wit your motivation on this one right chea. My Rating: 3.8

15. "So Fly"
Tha last one; what to expect... >>> Good intro fa tha last song. Feelin' tha 1st verse on this. Tha hook iz pretty nice; not much to say, but I like this one right here. I like tha "it's like I'm highhh" part in tha hook. Great wit tha rest of tha song. I'm gonna rate it tha same as tha last song, although I like tha last song better. Nice fade-out to this song 'cause tha mixtape ended. My Rating: 3.8

Overall: This turned out ta be a nice mixtape; definitely feelin' tha beginning jointz. You held it down on this shit, and tha 3 featured artists on this shit were cool too. Nice job, and keep up tha great work!

Review #224: Westbank Coalition "Westbank Coalition"

Reviewed on 5.28.2009 (Review #224)

Frankie's back. Tryna catch up wit some shit wit tha computer that I've been behind in all month. Now that I'm much more caught up, I figured that I'd continue my marathon. Today, I will be sayin' "goodbye" to tha 1993 era 'cause this tha last 1993 CD/tape I'm reviewin' in my marathon! Tomorrow, and maybe throughout tha weekend, I'm gonna be doin' some recent CD reviews. Then, I'll continue back wit tha marathon in tha year 1994. Now then, tha last 1993 Louisiana review: Westbank Coalition "Westbank Coalition"! Start Time: 11:33 PM | End Time: 11:51 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! I look for beats, then vocals, and then lyrics. To determine my favorites, I will differ tha 4.0 ratings. If a song gets at least a 4.0 rating from me, I love it already. If at least a 4.6 rating, I pretty much really love it, as it’s considered mindblowin’ when I hear it! Any song can earn up to a maximum of a 5.0 rating. 01. "Intro"
And to start this thang off, how we gon do it? >>> Creepin' in intro that took like 20 seconds fa a voice ta come! Yea, there's rappin' in this intro! Yea, "tha streetz of New Orleans!" Feelin' this beat, and that verse on this was just NICE!! Fuckin' luved it fa a start! My Rating: 4.4

02. "Something Ain't Right"
Tha 1st official song on here! Lemme peep it out! >>> Sounds like a "have to be scared of what's goin' on" type of feeling you get when you hear tha lyrics in tha beginning! Tha beat iz catchy wit that flute, and tha 1st verse dude sounds nice and dark wit tha vocals; undaground Rap shit right chea! Tha hook iz ehh... It's like remakeable... Tha 2nd verse starts off clean? Tha word "shit" was censored? Pretty good 2nd verse, and cool fa that flute ta end that verse. Tha 3rd verse iz pretty good wit tha "but my feet won't accelerate" part. Shit, keepin' tha paranoia goin' wit this shit! Tha "sleepin' wit my knife 'cause I don't wanna lose my life" part went real cold. All tha parts in this song were good 'cept that hook; not too crazy wit tha remakin' shit. My Rating: 4.2

½time: Only a small start, but it looks like REAL NICE quality comin' from tha undaground scene of New Orleans!! I wonder what to expect from tha last 2 songs!!

03. "Chriz Walk"
What kinda "walk" iz this? >>> LOL @ tha 1st verse startin' off wit "biiiiiiiiiiiitch!!!" I didn't think y'all were gonna do tha "biiiiiiiiiiitch!!!" shit, but it's cool; fa sho! Definitely feelin' tha beginning! I like tha sample in tha beat too! Tha "da-da-da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da-da." This shit iz DEFINITELY jammin' wit tha "suck a nigga dick fa an outfit," and tha "polo outfit" part; tight shit!! LOL @ at around 2:33 wit tha "tha dick, tha dick, tha dick, tha dick...;" lotta "dick attention" fa tha bitch? Tha beat started to change a lil' into tha 3:00 mark. Great song. My Rating: 4.5

04. "Pass Da Nine"
I thought tha title looked familiar, but I don't think it iz. Lemme hear what we got goin' on... >>> Nope, not familiar. Faster style here, and good 1st verse. Tha hook iz DEFINITELY catchy; thumbs up! I like tha "what's up, dawg" at 1:07 before tha 2nd verse. Good job on tha 2nd verse; just breezed through. Now, tha 3rd verse iz here; feelin' it! Nice shoutin' out at tha end, includin' tha "ya heard me"s. My Rating: 4.3

Overall: An 18 minute review, yet a REAL GOOD one!! All tha ratings were back to back no less (fa tha 1st time)! Not one rating iz separated, and this tape was tha shit!! Keep doin' y'all thang, Westbank Coalition!! REAL GREAT WAY to end 1993 in my Louisiana Reviewz Marathon!!

01. Crack Out Show
Tha intro to this CD of theirs... Really lookin' forward to seein' how good they are!! >>> This iz just tha beginning of a (hopefully) GREAT CD!! My Rating: N/A

02. "6th & Baronne"
I don't know if it's wit 2 R's, 2 N's, or just 1 R, 1 N. Either way, I'm lookin' forward to this shit; 5:19 on tha length! >>> Ooh, what a Cash Money start! Luvin' this sound fa a start!! I don't exactly know what tha title means. LOL @ tha "ABC's" (wit tha "now I know my ABC's" type) type of way tha hook iz done. LUV tha "smokin' buku weed" part; SO LOUISIANA RIGHT CHEA!!! Ooh, I hear tha "ya hoid me;" that must be Lil' Slim! Luved tha 1st verse, and it sounds like tha 2nd verse iz goin' good; he said "Tec-9," so I'm assumin' that it's Tec-9 on tha 2nd verse. Luv those "ya hoid me"s in tha hook! Tha 3rd verse was good, but tha 4th verse sounds GREAT wit tha "makin' buku money;" like tha voice of tha dude on tha 4th verse! Great job on tha 4th verse, and tha hook iz jammin' fa this shit! Ooh, a 5th verse on this shit too!! Jammin' shit right chea; luv it! At 5:13, I like how it slowed down on tha last 6 seconds! My Rating: 4.5

03. "Tec 9 Groove"
So, Tec 9 handlin' this one? Let's see how good it'll be! >>> Nice beat here, and Tec, you're doin' yo thang on this shit; shit sounds nice! Tha 1st verse was good, and tha hook sounds catchy. I'm likin' tha 2nd verse wit tha "I'm kickin' it--kickin' it--kickin' it on dem hoes," and tha "ridin' dick" parts; catchy shit here! My Rating: 4.1

04. "UNLV Style"
Likin' tha title, and it has 4:10 on tha length, so I'm definitely lookin' forward to this shit! >>> Not bad fa a start. Tha hook iz TRUE, especially wit how y'all deliverin' this shit; "why iz err-body jackin' UNLV's style?" Catchy shit here. I don't have much to say about tha verses, although they hold it down! Great 3rd verse on this; you know I enjoy tha "biiiiiiiiiiiitch" shit! It feels like tha verses are real short, and then that hot hook comes in! My Rating: 4.0

05. "Another Bitch (Street Version)"
So, there's a clean version on here? Well, at least... HOLY SHIT, 7:32 on tha length?!? LOL!! Anyway, at least this tha dirty version, so I finna peep it out!! >>> LOL, here comes tha B-32/"dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn" intro beat wit tha "biiiiiiiiiiitch" shit! LOL!! Very sexual here! I like tha "suck between my balls" part when it comes to tha bitch fuckin'! I knew it was gonna be like "talk sum mo shit about anotha biiiiiiiiiitch" at 2:07, lol! Sounds like tha rappin' iz REAL CONSISTENT about havin' sex wit this gurl! Liked tha "biiiiiitch" part at 3:01! Ooh, Tec 9 gon spit tha 2nd verse! Yea, "ya hoid me!" Tha beat started switchin' up a lil' bit on tha Tec 9 verse here, but went back to tha original style a lil' bit. Oh, at about 4:15, you said, "my nigga Lil' Phat." LOL @ there bein' a Lil' Phat back then; now, it's Trill Ent.'s Lil' Phat. Still feelin' all tha "biiiiiiiiiiiiitch" parts! Wow, talk about long-ass verses!! It's like uncountable bars!! So, y'all name iz Uptown Niggaz Livin' Violence? Nice way to have y'all name represented! I can't believe this was 7:32, and there were only 2 verses; CRAZY SHIT!!! My Rating: 4.4

½time: You know people weren't fuckin' playin' when they said they bump U.N.L.V.; this shit iz TIGHT, yet STREET and PURE Louisiana!!! I'm REAL GLAD that they got SO MUCH SHIT in my marathon, so you KNOW it gon be U.N.L.V. all ova tha fuckin' place on my reviewz, ya "hoid" me, lol! Lemme see what's remaining on this CD!!

06. "Another Trick (Radio Version)"
LOL, yet it only 6:40 instead of 7:32! See #5 fa tha review!

07. "Eddie Bow"
A guy's name "bow"? Lemme hear, lol! >>> Oh no, a dance! This like tha 1st one on my marathon! Well, I guess this iz an origin of tha "bow" shit, I think; right? Unless tha "bow" shit in Baton Rouge represents sprayin' da gat? Great shit, and at 1:28, "buku weed." Unlike tha gay Dance-Rap songs that come out now, this izn't some shit that would annoy me. Not bad jam, and it didn't annoy me; very consistent rappin'! My Rating: 3.7

08. "Get Into It With A Nigga"
Oh no! I don't like seein' tha word "nigger" (at least y'all black though unlike a white dude using it). Iz tha ID an error fa "nigga" instead? Lemme hear to find out! >>> It has that B-32/"dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn" type beat again, yet it sounds REAL GREAT fa a start wit tha "buku weed" and all dat good shit! Howeva, I think y'all sayin' "nigga," not "nigger." I'm fixin' tha title 'cause I don't like what it looks like (unless there's a confirm that it's "nigger" in tha title; anyone got tha back cova of this tape?)! LOL @ tha "niggity--niggity--nigga" part, lol! Great shit here! Ooh, 2:36 caught my attention wit tha dude tryna get tha "bag of weed!" Interesting story, yet it was like under 20 seconds. This joint was DEFINITELY jammin', so THUMBS UP!! My Rating: 4.3

09. "My 9"
LOL @ makin' it Track "9", lol! Iz Tec "9" (LOL) gon be spittin' some shit on this? >>> Nice street song, as I'm only :43 into tha song. LOL @ tha "fuckin' so hard, she started cryin'." If this iz a girl, then what's your "9"? Your dick? I was thinkin' tha title had to do wit a gun 'cause of tha "9," but I guess you can tell me betta. Not bad joint here; catchy wit tha title. My Rating: 3.8

10. "Mannie Fresh Mix"
LOL @ tha title! *Expects tha "dunn-dunn-dunn-dunn"/B-32 sound* >>> Sounds like a mix of a few of tha songs on here... LOL, tha sound came in at :40!! LOL, tha "suck between my balls" part came up again, so this beginning verse iz comin' from "Another Bitch", and I heard some "Eddie Bow" shit; nice mixin'!! Now, that it's at 3:19 on tha mix, I heard a lil' bit of tha definin' what U.N.L.V. stands for! A lot of beat was just remainin'... I felt that for a joint 5:07 on tha length, it should've kept mixin' instead of just havin' a beat ride out. LOL @ tha "biiitch" (yea, barely any "iii"'s in it) mixed in tha background too. My Rating: 4.0

11. Holla At A Nigga
Again wit tha controversial title. Even down to tha word "holler;" shouldn't it be "holla" and "nigga"? I'm gonna fix it 'til I get a confirm! Now, lemme hear! >>> Sounds like shout outs... Yea, dat "ya hoid me" at :39!! Your shout outs are great; shoutin' out tha right people! I tell ya, I FUCKIN' LUV THAT "YA HOID ME!!!" THAT SHIT IZ REAL GREAT TO HEAR!!! At 1:41 and 1:55!!! LOL, that dude said "ya heard me" (finally) at 2:30, although I prefer his "hoid" easily, lol! I feel that everytime I hear tha "hoid," I neva want these shout outs ta end!!!!! LOL, tha beat got slower at 3:42, and then got gunned down, lol! My Rating: N/A

Overall: Well, it took 59 minutes to review this shit, and I was quite impressed wit all tha hype to hear U.N.L.V.! You KNOW I gon continue to hear them throughout my marathon, and enjoy them, ya "hoid" me, lol! REAL GREAT CD/tape from them, and I wish them tha VERY BEST IN LUCK whereva they at now!!

Rankings (according to my ratings):

08. "Eddie Bow" 3.7
07. "My 9" 3.8
06. "UNLV Style" 4.0

Review #222: TRU "Who's Da Killer?"

Reviewed on 5.27.2009 (Review #222)

FrankieThaLuckyDog iz back today wit anotha review! That's right! And continuing tha marathon today, I go into TRU's album, "Who's Da Killer?". Now, there's some confusion here... On Wikipedia, it says this album iz from 1993, and iz TRU's debut album. However, it says that TRU's 2nd album "Understanding The Criminal Mind" was released in 1992, but on tha discography, it says 1994? I don't know, but when that album comes up in my marathon, it's in tha 1994 section. Regardless of anything, here's my review fa TRU "Who's Da Killer?! Start Time: 1:04 PM | End Time: 2:15 PM

01. "Who's Da Killa"
Startin' thangz off... I wonder what to expect... 7:52 on tha length? This should be real long! >>> A short, 26 second intro compared to tha length. Tha 1st verse iz soundin' pretty nice fa this beat. Reminds me of C-Murder & Young Ready's "Cock, Aim, Shoot", so that song prolly got an influence from this shit. Good job on tha 1st verse, and tha 2nd verse iz soundin' pretty nice fa a start; it's Master P no less. He did good. Let's see what we got fa tha 3rd verse... Uh oh, "911 on yo pager." Good job right there, and now, tha 4th verse (from tha 4th dude)... Sounds like dude iz goin' through shit (since he "couldn't breathe in his death bed"). He has a long verse here, and it was decent. Tha 5th verse comin' up here at about 4:52 in iz soundin' pretty good on tha rhymes and tha attitude. Good job, and now, tha 6th verse! Soundin' nice; great rhymes to go wit this shit. Tha 7th verse iz here at around 6:20! Great flowin' again; lots of rappaz from Louisiana are unstoppable wit their attitudes and tha way they handle shit! Great rhymes, and sorry to hear tha one dude had "2 to his temple." I like that "I never fucked anybody over in my life" lil' part that played after like 2 of tha verses; I feel like that, although it like tha reverse wit people dealin' wit me. Nice long song here! My Rating: 4.2

02. "Life Of A Gangsta"
Tha next joint on this CD. Again, I wonder what to expect... >>> Interesting start wit tha beat (after tha intro) wit tha "rat-tat-tat, rat-tat-tat..." wit tha gat. Nice start of tha 1st verse wit tha "at tha age of 7, I didn't give a fuck. At tha age of 8, I had to grow up. At tha age of 9, I had to sell dope;" crazy shit. Good shit, P, on tha 1st verse. Soundin' pretty nice here on this joint. Oh, so it was only 1 verse? Shit, it didn't feel like it, but this shit was good. Too bad fa tha argument at tha end; sorry 'bout all tha gunshots. My Rating: 3.8

03. "Neighborhood Dopeman"
REAL NICE length (5:48), and a REAL NICE title, so a NICE anticipation level fa me!! >>> It's a "smooth-ass muthafuckin' mellow beat?" Wit tha title, it should surpass tha beat fa me. Yea, "I always cursed," as well 'cause that's what my family would always be doin' a lot; I had a dirty mouth. Great "sellin'" parts right before tha 1:00 mark. Glad those "2 oz.'s keep tha bills paid" 4 u! Great hook, especially wit tha "it's a risky business, sellin' dat cocaine;" y'all brave dudes fa handlin' all tha hood shit. Let's see tha 2nd verse here... Street shit fa tha 2nd verse, so thumbs up! Luv how most verses from tha 90's end wit tha title! Dude on tha 3rd verse "pullin' 20's, 50's, 100's," and more, doin' tha damn thang! Real nice 3rd verse; had to be my favorite so far on this joint! Yea, a 4th verse, and it keeps gettin' better!! Nice rappin', GREAT attitude, and GREAT rhymes!! Nice sellin' theme as tha song iz ending! My Rating: 4.5

04. "Talk About It"
What y'all gon "talk about" on this shit? >>> Reminds me of Daz on tha 1st verse wit tha style here. Good job wit this "police Rap" right chea! P comin' through tha start of tha 2nd verse, "rat-tat-tatin'." Ooh, like his "give an alias name" part. Nice 2nd verse, and tha 3rd verse here iz keepin' it consistent; can't say anything bad. Nice outro from P here. My Rating: 3.9

05. "Check Your Bitch"
Oh shit, a song wit 5:54 on tha length! Y'all keepin' these jamz long! >>> A lot more slower, so we'll see if I can tolerate this. I like tha "choppin' up dope" part, and this ain't that bad; nice and relaxin' to listen to. Ooh, at around tha 2:30 mark, thingz get sexual!! Not bad of a song, yet pretty good. My Rating: 3.6

½time: Tha CD iz off to a good start. Definitely really feelin' tha themes goin' on here, especially of tha drugs/cops!! Keep up tha gr8 work!!

06. Commercial
Only 15 seconds of a commercial, lol. Lemme see what's up! >>> "Tru, TRU," lol. Y'all DEFINITELY "fuck people up!" My Rating: N/A

07. "Why You Wanna Fuck With Me"
Just missin' 3 minutes in length (2:59), so I wanna see what y'all can show me outta tha small amount of time! >>> Pretty nice beat, and tha flowin' on this iz definitely nice. Great 1st verse, and that hook iz definitely tight! "Don't take no shit" iz right! Good song right chea. My Rating: 4.0

08. "Sweated By Da Po Po's"
Interesting title, plus tha topic looks like it's stayin' on point; lookin' forward! >>> Pretty nice right here; still got that consistency. Tha 2nd verse iz soundin' interesting, especially since it broke down into a 2nd 1/2 wit tha "where's my gat?" part. Ooh, there's a 3rd verse too on this! Nice ending wit tha "kill da cop" part. My Rating: 4.1

09. "Ghetto Is A Trap"
Took a shrimp break (which was great), and now, lemme see what y'all sayin' about tha "ghetto" bein' "a trap"! >>> Started off without an intro, lol. Again, likin' tha "alias" shit (near tha :40 mark)! Well, I wasn't raised near a ghetto (or in a ghetto), so I didn't witness bad shit in tha streets, so I guess that was good fa me. LOL, C-Murder on tha 2nd verse, soundin' all young! Sad to hear that C-Murder had "3 bullets," and "dropped to his knees." People just get outta hand, and it's a wrong place/wrong time thang. At least C-Murder's still around! Let's hear tha 3rd verse here... Ended outta nowhere (as well as ending tha song), but sounded good still! My Rating: 4.1

10. Shouts Out
A long list here (since it's 6:40)! Let's see who made tha list! >>> Ooh, startin' off wit tha coughin' and tha chokin', "gettin' chronic'd out!" Tha beat reminds me almost of tha "We Are The Champions" type shit. LOL @ "my big fat-ass nigga" at 3:05! I like tha "real niggaz wear black, not yellow, bitch!" part at 5:25! A lil' long, but it goes nice wit dat beat! My Rating: N/A

Overall: I thought this was a good CD! Thumbs up to TRU fa holdin' it down! You know I'm lookin' forward to tha rest of your CDs, which are all a part of my marathon! Keep doin' y'all thang (on tha solo tip 'cause that's where y'all at currently)!

Review #221: The "L" "Black Robinhood"

Reviewed on 5.26.2009 (Review #221)

Wahhhh!! FrankieThaLuckyDog here, 'bout ta break a RECORD fa me (it shouldn't last too long 'cause I be on my hustle, ya dig)! This gon be my 5TH REVIEW today!!! That's currently tha highest amount I've done in a day, so here it iz: Settin' tha record: My next review: The "L" "Black Robinhood"! Start Time: 11:59 PM | End Time: 12:31 AM

Disclaimer:
I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! Anything I type before “ >>> ” iz what I’m sayin’ before I listen to tha song; anything after I type “ >>> ” iz what I think of tha song while I’m listening to it. If you sound like anything too mainstream for me or have auto-tune in your vocals, I’m not buyin’ it!

01. "Black Robinhood"
A great way to introduce yourself, as well as this piece of work of yours! Lemme see how it turns out! >>> You sound like you're nothin' to be fucked wit! I didn't expect you to sound like this, but you dark wit this shit! Good job on tha 1st verse. I like what you sayin' on tha 1st hook here, "ya heard me." FUCKIN' LUV HOW LOUISIANA PEOPLE TALK WIT THEIR SLANG AND SHIT, YA HEARD ME!! Grimy 2nd verse wit tha "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" shit goin' on! Shit, it's continuing wit tha "6," and then tha "7th ward" part. Real nice job on tha 2nd verse! My Rating: 4.0

02. "Real Nigga On The Trigga"
Looks like a great title! Likin' tha length too (4:53), so you KNOW you prolly goin' off on this shit! >>> Not bad beat (it fits tha 1993 era); nice and dark from tha undaground. I like tha hook (wit tha "murder them..."). Good job on tha 1st verse, and you sounded like you said tha title good; keepin' this gangsta shit comin' from Louisiana! Good 2nd verse here wit tha "puffin' on dat..." and tha "dawg" part; nice shit! You did yo thang on tha 2nd verse; nice shit here! Good job startin' off tha 3rd verse wit "yo blunt feelin' hazy." Thanx fa bringin' this hot shit ta me! My Rating: 4.2

03. "Ain't To Be"
I don't know what to expect... >>> Nice beat start; keepin' that old, dark, undaground Louisiana style in it. Nice rappin', so thumbs up right chea. Yea, tha hook iz true: "I ain't sta be fucked wit, bitch!" Wow, what a GREAT start to tha 2nd verse; tha rappin' ain't stoppin'!!! GREAT rappin', as it's SUPA CONSISTENT wit all tha shit you be spittin'!!! CRAZY SHIT goin' on around 2:28!! Ooh, at 2:50, LUV THAT ATTITUDE wit tha "talkin' buku shit on tha mic!!" CRAZY dude right chea! Ooh, finally, a 3rd verse while I arrive to tha 4:00 mark! Good job; nice joint right chea! My Rating: 4.3

½time: Looks like a REAL GREAT start, statistically! All ratings are at least 4.0, so that's watz good! Keep doin' yo thang; you go hard!

04. "Broken Family"
Looks like a sad title... That's what my gurl Alicia (bound to be my cousin soon?) from Long Island's facing currently. I don't have a negative say in tha situation 'cause her mom iz wit my uncle, who iz a gr8 guy. Now, let's see what you got ta spit on this! >>> Tha lyrics are PERFECT fa tha divorce my mom and dad did throughout tha Late 90's! I rememba all those dayz my dad would SCREAM at my mom and shit; scary! You mentioned "my daddy..." doin' shit, so I can relate to this. Yea, my mom went off to Northeast PA, and I had to follow her. I didn't wanna leave Long Island, but unfortunately, I had no control. I can't relate to tha 2nd verse, but nice job writing it. Sorry you had to witness all this bullshit. Really, parents should just stay togetha; fuck all this bullshit! Too much controversial shit! So, you were only "18" on this shit (since it was '93 at tha time)? That's cool (fa this time), and nice job on tha 3rd verse. Although not tha type of song I would go crazy for, I'm goin' to offer a lyrical rating. BTW, what's wit tha Jamaican dude? Lyrical Rating: 4.6 | My Rating: 3.6

05. "Kill Till Killed"
A real interesting title here (you comin' through hard wit tha titles)! Lookin' forward to hearin'!! >>> Ooh, a hustla's anthem (since tha DJ in tha beginning said, "dedicating this to all tha hustlaz out there...")! Sounds like a lotta lyrics goin' on. I'm catchin' on towards tha 2:30 - 2:40 part wit tha "boom, boom, boom!" part wit shooting. Why tha long-ass ending? There should've been a 3rd verse or an extention! I don't even think I heard a hook? My Rating: 3.1

06. "Can't Be Dealt With"
Interesting title... >>> Pretty good so far. I thought tha intro sounded like tha last song, as well as tha beat from an old song. Good beat, and it sounds like this iz listenable. Tha 2nd verse iz soundin' REAL CONSISTENT like tha 3rd song!! Yea, "there iz a sucka in every state;" agreed! Wait a sec... Tha 2nd verse was REAL CONSISTENT. Then again, I rememba hearin' tha "bury" part around tha 2:30 mark... Huh? After comparing fa a sec, this iz just a clean version of "Ain't To Be". See #3 fa tha review!

07. "Real Nigga On The Trigga (Instrumental)"
Ending not wit a clean version, but an instrumental, lol. See #2 fa tha review!

Overall: This tape was 33 minutes long, and it took me 32 minutes ta review this tape, lol! Well, pretty good, although it ended not in my favor. But, you did a GREAT job wit this tape! Keep ur finga on tha trigga, keep makin' mo shit (if you still are around), and I may have anotha tape/CD of yours in this marathon; not sure.

Review #220: R.C.U. "Dope Man's Child"

Frankie's back up in here! It's still May 26, lol! That means I'm on my 4th review today! Continuing tha marathon, here's tha next one: R.C.U. "Dope Man's Child"! Start Time: 11:27 PM | End Time: 11:46 PM

Disclaimer: I rate each song from 1.0 – 5.0; each rating iz my own opinion! I only please myself wit my ratings! I don’t care how lyrical you are, as long as it’s jammin’ enough for me to like it! 01. "Penitentary Blues"
I like that tha "pen" iz in tha title, but by havin' tha "Blues" in tha title makes it sound like it gon be a sad story. Whetha it fa me or not, lemme peep it out as I start this review off! >>> Thought it was a Tupac type rappa at first. Interesting 1st verse about tha "cops cuffin' up." A long 1st verse, but LOL @ how you said tha title before tha 1st verse ended. Tha 2nd verse was good to hear. Ooh, wit tha length of tha 1st verse, I didn't think there would be a 3rd verse. Well, that 3rd verse was extremely short, so I couldn't really say anything... At least this joint wasn't depressing, so good start. My Rating: 3.7

02. "Dope Man's Child"
That's an interesting title, yet I should say fa tha album. What can I expect from a song wit it? >>> Tha 1st verse I couldn't hear much ('cause I don't have tha volume up that high 'cause it 11:33 PM right nah), but I guess I'll give tha 1st verse a thumbs up. Tha 2nd verse does sound interesting; I like tha flow wit tha "sell dope..." part; good job. Now, I hear tha hook, and it sounds great wit tha "pushin' rocks...cocaine" part! Not bad 3rd verse on this shit. Wow, looks like there's a 4th verse! Tha 4th verse went 'til tha end, and was not bad. My Rating: 3.9

03. "Material Things Make You Feel The Need To Get G'd"
Shit @ tha title; it 10 words!! Tha MC Thick title, "The Show Ain't Over Till The Fatman Swings", was a long title when I reviewed it earlier today (8 words), so this surpasses that title fa length! Lemme hear if it good enough fa me though! >>> Okay start, yet nothin' to say. Sounds like a slightly betta 2nd verse. Even though tha 90's are known fa tha title bein' said right when tha verse ends, because tha title iz so long, it sounds so cheesy to say right when tha verse ends, lol. Not bad 3rd verse, although there are no lyrics fa me to quote. Again, LOL @ tha title bein' said at tha end of tha 3rd verse. My Rating: 2.5

½time: Not bad start. Tha 3rd song was rated lower 'cause there was really nothin' to say, and tha beat was plain.

04. "Penitentary Blues (Instrumental)"
Oh, just an instrumental? If so, then: See #1 fa tha review!

05. "Dope Man's Child (Instrumental)"
I know this and #6 are gonna be instrumentals, lol. See #2 fa tha review!

06. "Material Things Make You Feel The Need To Get G'd (Instrumental)"
LOL... See #3 fa tha review!
EDIT: Rehearin' tha beat, and I can see a lil' bit of a boost in tha rating now, although when I first heard it, it sounded like typical old, West Coast shit, unlike tha Louisiana shit I really wanna hear.

Overall: A lot shorter than I expected (19 minutes long of a review). I didn't think it was just 3 songs, but that's what it iz. Well, I don't know if you're in my marathon wit any other shit, but I guess this was an okay lil' EP or whateva you wanna call it.

Rankings (according to my ratings:

03. "Material Things Make You Feel The Need To Get G'd" 2.5
02. "Penitentary Blues" 3.7
01. "Dope Man's Child" 3.9

01. Intro
How we gon start this REALLY ANTICIPATING CD off??? At first, I thought there were a few songs on here, but there's 15!! >>> LOL @ tha intro! You KNOW I had a REAL GOOD chance of tha intro havin' ta do wit weed, lol! GREAT intro!! My Rating: N/A

02. "Still Smokin'"
"Still smokin'"? How about "start smokin'" 'cause it's tha beginning of tha CD, lol? Well, wit 4:55 on tha length, I'm REAL curious to see what y'all put down on tha table wit this "smokin'" shit!! >>> LOL, there had to be a cheesy hook... Oh wait, that was just a start; then that's okay. LOL @ that though wit tha "I luv weed, you luv weed..." intro. Tha "Paid In Full" BPM type of style in tha beat again, lol! LOL @ "hey diddle, diddle, wit tha weed in tha middle!" LOL @ tha 1st verse, as it held it down. Tha hook iz your typical, repetitive hook that gets a plus automatically. Tha 2nd verse iz more into tha weed here wit tha "that fiya weed, that fiya weed," and tha "bounce fa tha weed, biggity--bounce fa tha weed." LOL @ all tha samplin' songs wit tha lyrics wit weed lyrics! Tha 2nd verse was much betta than tha 1st verse, and now, will there be a 3rd verse? Sounds like a bunch of repetitive "pass that weed to *insert ward*" lyrics. That part was nice fa a breakdown, although it's so consistent! LOL @ "a friend wit weed iz a friend indeed;" friendly, huh, lol? LOL... I'm "LOL'in" so much, lol! Yea, fuck err-body that wanna fuckin' take tha weed away!! My Rating: 4.3

03. "Yes Yes My Nigga"
Looks like a good title; lookin' forward! >>> Great start (of course)! Way too repetitive fa me to comment on anything really... Tha way tha lyrics are said are like some of that B-32 or some of tha shit I previously reviewed. A lot went on, even though it created an anthem. Not much to say... My Rating: 3.7

04. "Splift Out 2 (Dipped N Honey)"
Ooh, a good title fa this CD! Lemme peep this joint out... >>> Good job wit tha "weed" lyrics goin' on here; very consistent! Still has that typical flow type of B-32 type music. Good shit right chea, although tha repetitiveness kinda gets to me a lil', but not as much as tha previous song! Nice to have a DJ Endo, lol. My Rating: 4.0

05. "Alphabet Bitches"
LOL @ tha title... What to say...? >>> Interesting hook, lol. Good female song, and LOL @ tha "'H' iz fa 'Helen'," and tha "hicky" part, lol. All tha rest of tha lyrics were great, and tha sex scene at tha end iz great too! Luv tha gurl sayin' "fuck me! Fuck me! Harder...! Harder!! Ooh, I'm 'bout ta cum!" My Rating: 4.1

06. "I Feel Like Bangin' A Nigga" Feat. Big Heavy
I thought it was gonna be on tha last song's shit (like "bangin' a bitch"), but to a dude? I guess you gon pop someone... >>> LOL @ just hearin' tha hook... Nice beat to it too! Yea, this about poppin' someone. Tha 1st verse was enjoyable, and it sounds like tha 2nd verse iz 'bout ta be too! Good job on tha 2nd verse. This iz gettin' more interesting wit tha 3rd verse dude wit tha "powder" part, and tha "trigga--de trigga--de trigga" part! Tha typical B-32 ending wit all tha wards: "*insert ward* gon bang me a nigga." Good song right chea. My Rating: 4.1

07. Word From Tha President
What could "tha president" from back then say? Some shit about dissin' weed? Lemme hear! >>> Ooh, a much betta/spooky beat! Oh, it's just tha president of Cash Money Records; phew. That sux that "they banned PxMxWx 'cause of 'Splift Out 2'?" You know how tha radio be... I didn't know this was just a skit. Thumbs up to tha dude "rollin' 'em up hard in tha cornfield" up in Kansas (according to what tha 2nd dude's speakin' right now). Likin' tha "roll tha weed, lay back" part at around 4:03. Nice lil' skit, although real long; it all good though 'cause it like a "weed break" in your case. My Rating: N/A

½time: Pretty good CD, although a lot of parts are very B-32ish and repetitive wit tha lyrics (just repeating; I don't mind tha weed topics). Hope some of tha upcoming songs get real betta fa me!

08. "Mo Bounce"
Good title, and I WANT "mo Bounce" music!! >>> Here comes that flowin' again! Good job fa really bringin' "mo Bounce!" Okay wit tha lyrics on tha 1st verse, but let's see tha 2nd verse now... Okay, although it's not that interesting fa me. I'ma keep listenin' though 'cause it at least stays consistent. SO MUCH "Bounce" in this shit, lol! Not bad Bounce song fa me, although nothin' really to comment... My Rating: 3.9

09. "Real Niggaz Do Die"
That's OFFICIALLY 100% true wit tha title (R.I.P. VL Mike, Sporty-T, Nu$$ie, and ANYONE ELSE from Louisiana)! I wanna hear how y'all explain it! >>> Okay, it sounds like a pretty good start. Good job on tha 1st verse, and tha "kill 'em I say, kill 'em I say, kill 'em I say, kill 'em I say, boom! Boom!" part repeated in tha hook iz REAL TIGHT!! LUV THA FASTNESS!!! Tha 2nd verse iz true, especially wit "not havin' just your NWA, but havin' yo balls and yo AK." Oh, I JUST LUV THAT HOOK!!! See, when makin'a REAL SONG like this, at least tha hook iz REAL catchy to make y'all listen!! Good job on tha 3rd verse too; THAT HOOK!!! Oh, so Lil' Slim was a part of this (yet, a part of PxMxWx)? No wonder, I heard his rendition of "ya heard me" at tha end ("ya hoid me"), lol. My Rating: 4.5

10. "Boot Up Nigga"
Y'all keepin' tha GREAT, undaground titles comin' along!! >>> Rough intro wit tha shit goin' on... LOL @ tha typical, fast "dun-dun-dun-dun, dun-dun-dun-dun..." in tha beat! Interesting hook goin' on here. Good job on tha 2nd verse, and now, if that's tha 3rd verse, tha repetitiveness iz comin' back. I won't hate on it, but I can't really comment on it. Interesting 3rd verse (yeah, tha real 3rd verse; that otha shit was just a bridge) contains sum interesting lyrics wit tha "shooting" and shit like that. Tha song ended kinda fast, but not bad. My Rating: 3.8

11. "Roshambeau" Feat. Big Daddy
What's that title? >>> LOL, it's a place. LOL @ tha singin' on tha hook (like tha intro). Not bad start; tha "pair of girbauds" part came outta nowhere, and sounded good. Tha beat iz kinda boring me now, and it looks like I'm losin' interest in this shit. LOL @ tha background guy singin' "stupid muthafucka." My Rating: 3.2

12. "Splift Out"
How come tha 1st version (based off tha title since tha 2nd one has a "2" in its title) iz all tha way down here? Fa 5:48 on tha length, I hope to expect good! >>> Here comes that B-32 type flow again, lol. This time, it's that type of "Way Of Life" beat that Lil' Wayne sampled. Great "spliff" lyrics goin' on here. Tha hook iz catchy here wit tha "splift out nigga." Pretty good song, so I'll give it a thumbs up. Up, a "bounce fa tha *insert ward*" series of ward shout outs goin' on here. I feel like this iz gettin' kinda long. I like tha line "and tell tha white man, 'kiss my dick';" defendin' tha "spliff smokin'" right chea, and I feel you on that. Slowly startin' to get betta, and no less when I said that, a "smoke it, baby, light it..." and "do it, baby, stick it..." parts came up, as well as a few othaz! Luvin' tha ending wit tha Big Man at tha end; luv tha sniffin' and coughin' of tha weed! Yea, I agree: "More lightin', less fightin'." Great ending, which made me like tha song more. My Rating: 3.9

13. "Trick Daddy"
LOL @ this title, which later, became a rapper's name, lol. >>> Shit, tha beat iz too soulful this time. Tha otha one was a lil' slow and had some soul in it, but this one's too much. I like tha interesting "dope" lyrics wit tha "sellin'" and shit goin' on. Good job on tha 1st verse though. Tha 2nd verse went by a lil' quick, but was pretty good I guess. Tha 3rd verse sounds like it's on point, so good job. Still, not feelin' that beat fa an album topic like tha one y'all have. My Rating: 3.4

14. "Big Man"
Here comes tha Big Man dude as tha title, lol. A long one again (5:48 on tha length). Iz it anotha skit or song? >>> It's a song, yet it has that B-32/"dunn x4, dunn x4" pattern to it again, lol! LOL @ "we don't want nothin' but tha cum a lil' faster!" Sounds like some good flowin' this time on a track like this. I like tha "ride tha dick a lil' deeper, BIATCH!!!" part, lol! Sounds pretty consistent; good shit this time. Wit it sayin' "ya heard me" 4x around tha 3:25 part somewhere, it made it catchy. Tha shit goin' on right at 4:57 iz CRAZY wit that "crack" part or whateva's goin' on!! My Rating: 4.0

15. X-It Out
Looks like your name wit tha 3 X's. Should be a good ending song... lemme find out! >>> I can hear tha weed smokin' in this; nice choking, lol! Well, after :58 into this, there's no rappin', so this ain't a song. Still, this sounds like a GREAT skit; FUCKIN' LUV THA CHOKING!!!!!!!!!! Tha ending of this was good, and thanx fa all tha "Louisiana area shout outs!!" My Rating: N/A

Overall: Well, great CD, although wit tha title of it, I thought there was gonna be A LOT MO weed smokin' songs. There were a good amount, but they didn't catch me enough to obsessively luv 'em 'cause when I hear weed songs, I instantly fall in luv wit 'em, ya dig. Either way, I wanna keep hearin' from y'all, so keep up tha gr8 work!
